CHUBUT

Uranium Chubut

UrAmerica owns 13 exploration permits (“cateos”), totaling an estimated 125,500 hectares, above ground with uranium discovery potential in the central part of Chubut Province in southern Argentina.

The exploration permits cover numerous radiometric anomalies detected in airborne surveys conducted in the 1960s and late 1970s in the Mesozoic San Jorge Gulf Basin by the Commission Nacional de Energia Atomica de Argentina (CNEA: the National Atomic Energy Commission of Argentina).

This basin is the center of operation for the most important international uranium exploration companies.

The whole Stratigraphic column of the Cretaceous Chubut Group, that contains several Formations with U occurrences.

All of our permits contain the different levels you are seeing , and you can observe on the right side the value of the grade that these outcrops indicate us.

We built our own maps and defined the mineral index for the zone, In dark green, we find abundance of Los Adobes Formation, the main mineralized body present in the Cerro Solo mine.

The slides show the shape and contours of the Chubut basin where our permits are located. These deposits are sandstone and conglomerates, stratabound subhorizontally.

Due to the extension of the San Jorge basin we used technological studies to get specific information to join the permits in Sectors.
With the studies and our geologist´s visit to the area, we were able to:
1. define different deposits targets on the west and over the eastern side of the basin.
2. build a Ranking of the sectors, in order to focus our exploration plan.

Based on this ranking, we will carry out the next steps of our exploration program starting by sectors A and B on the west and sector F on the east.
On the west side (Sectors A and B) our permits are close to the basin border. Here we looked for braided channel design and very good presence of organic material (like Cerro Solo mine).
On the eastern side (SECTOR F) we looked for shallow mineralized levels with presence of U. On our geologist´s visit, we could see that this presence is very close to the surface. Once we confirm our findings, we can try the ISL system there.
