UrAmerica´s regional exploration comparison
The San Jorge Basin in the Chubut Province is similar to the Shirley Basin in Wyoming and the Salta Basin in the Salta Province is similar to Honeymoon and Kakaroo in Southern Australia.
Similarities include:
- Vast exploration surfaces in each basin
- Mining targets are small but have medium to high U grades
- Similar types and class of sandstone deposits
Our licensed areas in the Chubut Basin are near CNEA's Cerro Solo Mine.
The type of the deposits are known as ‘sediment-hosted’ or ‘sandstone uranium’, with similar indicated resources and ore grade as in the Shirley Basin, Wyoming.
Our permits in the Salta Basin are near the Don Otto mine can be identified with the same types of sandstone deposits as in Honeymoon and Kakaroo, Australia, with similar mineralization and resources.
