UrAmerica closes private placement

In early April the Company entered into subscription agreements with existing shareholders
Longview Capital Partners, Jan Hendrickx and a new strategic investor Niger Uranium limited
whereby they agreed to subscribe for 6,022,099 ordinary shares at a price of US$1.093 per
share for an aggregate subscription price of US$6,582,153. The subscription funds are to be
received in instalments between now and September 2008. These investors were also granted warrants to subscribe for an additional 6,022,099 shares, which will ensure additional future funding for the Company.

The proceeds of the placement has allowed the Company to begin an exploration programme the 21 April 2008, followed by a drilling programme scheduled to commence on September 2008 on its licences -covering 1.800 km2 in the provinces of Chubut and Salta, the two most prospective uranium districts in Argentina-.

Niger Uranium limited (a uranium exploration and investment company with African interests in the Republic of Niger and Namibia, focused on the rapid development and acquisition of near term and advanced projects and listed in the AIM Stock Exchange in London) will advise Uramerica on its exploration programme and provide the Company with access to their extensive know-how.

The Company has also added two more directors to the Board, Neil Herbert (former CFO
Uramin) who will act as Chairman and lan Stalker (current Deputy Chairman of Niger Uranium
and former CEO Uramin. Uramin was acquiered by AREVA by 2.5 billion US$ in September
2007) as a non-executive director.
