UrAmerica new properties in Don Otto area (10.10.2007)
London , October 10 th
UrAmerica Limited , announces that it claimed “cateos” of 28.000 Ha (waiting for Government approval) of uranium properties, nearby the Don Otto Mine district. Don Otto is an old mine formerly owned by the National Commission of Atomic Energy (Comisión Nacional de Energía Atómica – CNEA).
The Salta Basin is one of Argentina 's major uranium regions. The CNEA estimates that it has the potential to host a more than 29,000tonnes of uranium (plus the historical production). This is based on extrapolation from known deposits, from a total of 55,000t for Argentina . Although these exploration targets, proposed by the CNEA and are not reserve or resource estimates, they do indicate that the Salta Basin is valued as a very favorable region for exploration and further uranium discoveries
Our new claims are located at: one at northern area of Don Otto Mine. The others claims are at east of Don Otto mine and northward of our current claims in Don Otto district.
The Don Otto uranium district is known for numerous stratabound sandstone-hosted uranium deposits and occurrences. We are looking for a particularly Upper Cretaceous Yacoraite Formation that occurs in the area.
Uramerica Limited is a newly British company led by Latin American management and technical team with substantial experience in uranium exploration throughout the region. Currently it develops projects in Argentina, Colombia and Paraguay . UrAmerica´s management has more than 20 years experience in mining exploration in Latin America. UrAmerica aims to be the Uranium exploration leader in Latin America.
